I found six identical sock pairs at the bottom of a bin I'd been ignoring

Three years ago I moved into a small apartment in Portland and shoved a plastic bin of clothes under my bed. Last week I finally dragged it out, mostly expecting old junk. Instead I found six pairs of the exact same gray socks I'd been buying one at a time for years. It felt like a weird victory, but also made me wonder why I kept buying socks when I had a hidden stash. Has anyone else found a hidden supply of something that made their decluttering easier or just more confusing?
