My neighbor's garage shelf comment got me through week 3

I was hauling a box of old holiday decorations to my car and my neighbor Dave saw me struggling. He just said, "You're not throwing away memories, you're making room for the ones that fit." That was last Tuesday and honestly it reframed my whole approach to the donation pile. I had already cleared 14 trash bags of stuff that week and was about to quit. Has anyone else had a random comment from a stranger or neighbor that kept them going mid-purge?
