Hang onto that receipt and see if you can get a refund. I was just talking to my neighbor about her closet system that did the same thing. She said the material felt thin and flimsy right out of the box. Its a shame how many companies sell junk like that these days. A simple bracket system screwed into the wall is the only way to go for real clothes weight.

The problem with those "magic" systems is they're almost always tension rods and particle board that can't handle real weight. You need to look for something with actual brackets screwed into the wall studs if you want it to stay up. A basic wire shelving kit from the hardware store would've cost half that and lasted forever.

Twenty years ago I thought I was being clever and built my own closet system out of plywood and 2x4s, and that thing is still standing like a brick wall. Meanwhile my buddy spent twice as much on a fancy pre fab system and it collapsed under a stack of jeans within six months. Sometimes the old school approach is just the smarter way to go.
