Spent $35 on a label maker and it finally clicked for me

I bought a Brother P-Touch label maker from Target last week and went through my garage like a maniac. I labeled all my holiday bins, tool boxes, and even the shelf where lightbulbs live. Have any of you found that one tool that just made declutterring way less overwhelming?

And once you start labeling everything, you realize the real win is not having to dig through five bins to find a single extension cord. That little machine basically pays for itself in frustration saved.

Ray's right about that - the best tool is the one that stops you from losing your mind (and your time) hunting through a messy pile. A label maker is basically a patience saver with a battery. Been there with the cord chaos and it's amazing how something so small changes everything.

Yeah, that "digging through five bins" part hit home. I went full label crazy in my garage and now every bin has a big printed sticker on the front saying exactly what's inside, like "12v wires" or "drywall anchors." It took maybe an afternoon to do it all, but now I can grab the right bin in about ten seconds flat instead of pulling everything out and making a mess. That machine didn't cost much, but it saved me from buying duplicates of stuff I already owned but couldn't find.
