The moment I realized my 'organized' pantry was actually a hoarding zone
I was looking for a can of black beans last Tuesday and found 4 expired cans of the same thing from 2022. My mom was over and she just pointed at them and said 'you know you can only eat one at a time right?' That hit different. I think I was buying extras 'just in case' but never checking what I already had. Has anyone else had that wake-up call where someone pointing out the obvious made you see a bad habit?

Eh, a few expired beans isn't the end of the world.

Gotta ask @vera_lewis2, how expired we talkin'? Like a week past the date or closer to a year? Because beans get kinda sketchy after a while, especially if the cans start bulging or rusting. I remember my buddy tried to cook some that were like 2 years old and the whole kitchen smelled like a wet dog. Not tryna judge, just curious where you draw the line on the whole expiration thing.

Wait didn't your friend Sarah do the same thing with pasta? She had like 15 boxes of spaghetti and only eats it maybe once a month lol
