Update: Took 4 hours just to clear one kitchen cabinet

Started decluttering the upper cabinets in my kitchen last Saturday morning. Got stuck on one cabinet with about 30 mismatched plastic containers and no lids. I pulled everything out, matched lids to bases, and threw out 18 container parts that had no partner. Still took another 45 minutes just to stack the 12 that fit together. Anyone else find that lids always disappear before the containers do?

Drove over to my friend Sarah's place last week to grab some takeout containers she said she'd save for me. Walked into her kitchen and I swear it looked like a Tupperware bomb went off in there. She's got this entire cabinet just for butter tubs, Cool Whip containers, and random pasta sauce jars with the labels still peeling off. She started showing me her "system" for which ones are microwave safe and which ones are good for freezing leftovers. I just stood there nodding but honestly I was taking mental notes the whole time lol.
