Switched from spray cans to a paint sprayer for my kitchen cabinets
I used to spend all weekend with rattle cans on my oak cabinets in Des Moines, getting drips and uneven coats no matter how careful I was. Last fall I finally borrowed my neighbor's Wagner FLEXiO 590 and did the whole kitchen in about 4 hours with way less mess. The finish is so much smoother and I didn't have to sand nearly as much between coats. Has anyone else made the jump and regretted it or found a trick for cleaning the sprayer faster?

The Wagner is a game changer for sure.

I read somewhere that adding a little bit of thinner helps it spray more even and makes cleanup way quicker too.

Just gotta second what @kim.jake said about the thinner - I put a splash of mineral spirits in my first batch of paint and it sprayed like butter, no spitting at all. For cleaning I found that running warm soapy water through the gun right after you finish beats letting stuff dry and fighting with it later, it only takes me like 10 minutes now. The Wagner really cuts down the time but you gotta stay on top of that cleanup or you'll be cursing it later.
