That weekend I tried to refinish my kitchen cabinets ended in disaster
I thought I could knock out sanding and painting our oak cabinets in one weekend. But I didn't account for humidity here in Florida and the primer just peeled off in sheets on Sunday morning. Ended up spending 200 bucks on a paint sprayer and taking 3 full weekends to fix it right. Anyone else have a DIY project that went way longer than planned?

Three weeks into what I thought was a weekend project to paint my hallway. Found out the hard way that cheap paint and old walls don't mix when the whole thing started bubbling up like a bad sunburn. I swear every single home project I've ever touched has this hidden rule where you think you're saving time or money but you end up spending double of both. It's like life just wants you to learn patience the slow way.
