Unpopular opinion: skip the drywall primer, just use paint with primer built in

I painted my whole living room with Behr Marquee one coat stuff and it saved me like $40 on primer and an afternoon of work. No peeling or bubbles after 6 months, has anyone else tried this and had it hold up long term?

Wow seriously? I've been telling everyone the same thing and they look at me like I'm crazy. Behr Marquee is the real deal, I did my bathroom with it like a year ago and it still looks perfect. No peeling, no weird patches, nothing. The whole "you need separate primer" thing feels like a scam honestly. If the paint has primer built in and it works, why waste the extra money?

Wait, a year in the bathroom and no peeling? That's wild. @emmaclark, you just convinced me to try it myself with that kind of track record.

@gracec16 wouldn't stop bugging me about what brand of paint I used, guess she was onto something after all.
