Can we talk about paying for those sponsored 'top lawyer' articles in the Edmonton Journal?
I mean, I dropped about $1500 last fall to get my firm featured in one of those pieces, and idk, maybe it's just me but it felt like a total waste. We got maybe two website visits tracked from it, and both were just people looking for the free info, not real clients. Has anyone else tried this and actually seen it work, or is it just a fancy ad that nobody reads?

Felt the same sting last year... paid for a spot in one of those roundups and got nothing but crickets. It looks legit but I'm pretty sure everyone just skips past it. Save your money for something people actually look for.

@william_garcia I bet if you actually saw the backend analytics, you'd see no one clicked through unless they were already following you. Those few leads probably came from your own network, not the list itself.

That's a fair point from @lindag33, but my own experience was different. I got a few good leads from a roundup last fall by really engaging with the post when it went live. Maybe it depends on the site's audience and how active you are in the comments section.

Yeah, reminds me of those "best of" lists that never get read.
