Getting my Google Business Profile for my Edmonton law firm verified took almost three weeks.

I kept getting stuck in the postcard loop because my office is in a shared building downtown. The mail kept going missing. I finally had to do the video verification, which took another five business days to process. Has anyone else in the city had this much trouble with their GBP setup?

Honestly, the shared office space thing is a known trap for that postcard. I've heard of people using a virtual office address just for the verification step to get the code, then switching the listing back to their real address after. It's a workaround, but it can break the loop.

So the post office just gave up on trying to read it? That's kind of impressive in a sad way. Did you try having someone else write the address for you, or is the whole system just that broken? Makes you wonder how much mail gets lost because someone's cursive was too fancy.

Tell riverw17 they hit the nail on the head. The system is just that broken. I had a friend with perfect handwriting rewrite the whole thing, and it still got kicked back. It feels like they have zero tolerance for anything but a printed label now. Makes you wonder where all the slightly messy mail ends up.
