Looking back at my first $5k ad spend in Edmonton and cringing a bit
It took a client asking 'why are you targeting people in Red Deer?' for me to see I had my geo settings all wrong for years... anyone else have a facepalm moment with basic platform settings?

My cousin wasted a grand on ads for the wrong Halifax.

Geo-targeting fails are everywhere now. People order food to the wrong address because apps guess their location badly. My friend's mom got a ride share pickup three blocks away in the rain. Feels like the tech is getting dumber, not smarter.

Wait, were you manually typing in city names or using the radius tool? The radius feature got me good once because I forgot to set the center point right and ended up targeting a whole different region. I feel like the UI on these platforms hides the important settings in some menu that you'd never think to check. It took me three months to realize I had my location pinned to a spot that wasn't even in the right country. Did you ever notice any weird performance data before that client caught it? Like, were you getting a ton of clicks but zero conversions?
