Showerthought: I just realized how many people search for lawyers on their phones

I was looking at some Google Analytics data for a friend's firm and saw that 68% of their site visits came from mobile devices last month. That's a huge shift from just a couple years ago. Are you guys seeing the same thing and adjusting your ads or site design for it?

Actually, that 68% mobile traffic number is probably low for a lot of firms now. In my experience, it's been the main way people look for help for years, not a new shift. If a site isn't already built for phones first, it's way behind. People bail if a page loads slow or they have to pinch and zoom.

Yeah, my cousin's bakery site was like 75% mobile last year. We switched to a simpler layout and it cut the bounce rate in half.

My old barber's website still looks like it's from 2005 and he's booked solid every week. People might leave if it's a total mess, but I wonder if a slow site is really costing that many customers. Most folks just want the info, like hours or a phone number, and they'll put up with a lot to get it. The panic over perfect mobile sites feels overblown sometimes.
