Used to think a basic website was enough for my Edmonton law practice. Then I saw my competitor's Google My Business page last month.

My local pizza place has 4.8 stars with 200 reviews and photos of every special. The spot next door has a 3.2 with one picture of a dark doorway. I always order from the first one, no question. It's like that for everything now, from finding a mechanic to picking a dentist. You judge the whole business on that one little digital storefront.

Then I saw my competitor's Google My Business page" is the key. People check that before they even look at your actual website. It's the first impression that decides if they'll click through.

Totally agree, it's the first thing people see. I looked up a local place the other day and their page had one blurry photo from 2012 and weird hours listed. I just clicked right off and went to the next result. If you can't manage that page, it makes your whole business look sketchy.
