Warning: I saw a lawyer's billboard on the Yellowhead with a huge mistake

I was driving east on the Yellowhead near 97th Street last week and saw a big billboard for a local personal injury firm. The main phone number on it was missing a digit, it only had nine numbers instead of ten. That's a basic error that could cost them a lot of calls. I know billboards are a big part of legal marketing here, but this seems like a major oversight. How often do you guys check your own ads for simple mistakes like that? Has anyone else seen marketing fails around Edmonton that made you cringe?

Wow, a missing digit on a lawyer's billboard? That's a huge waste of money.

Did you ever think maybe the sign company figured the missing digit was free advertising for the "10" they left off? That missing number probably cost more than my first car. I bet the partners had a meeting to decide if they could blame it on a junior associate. Either way, someone's billable hours shot through the roof over a typo nobody even notices during rush hour.

My old firm spent 20k fixing that, @jason_lewis3.

Seriously, @jason_lewis3, do you think the firm just ate the cost or did they try to bill the sign company?
