I was painting my basement ceiling last month in Edmonton and kept getting lint stuck in the finish. My buddy who does drywall for a living told me to wrap the roller in packing tape first to pull off any loose fibers. I did two wraps of tape, peeled it off, and the third roller was silky smooth. Has anyone else tried this or do you just buy the expensive microfiber rollers?
I visited the Home Design Centre last Saturday and everyone seems to love the open shelf kitchen displays they have. But I gotta say, I think open shelves are a terrible idea for anyone who actually cooks more than once a week. All that dust and grease from frying will settle on your dishes, and you'll be washing everything before you use it. Plus the realtor I talked to said they hurt resale value because buyers see them as impractical. Has anyone else found open shelves to be more trouble than they're worth?
Thinking about getting my oak kitchen cabinets sprayed white instead of replacing them. I found Millcreekpainters while searching for Edmonton painters and their portfolio looks amazing. Has anyone here actually used them for cabinetry?
