So my hydro bill hit $210 in July and I was losing it. I read online that hanging a damp towel in front of a fan can lower the room temp by a few degrees. Tried it in my bedroom on Lawrence Ave and my AC barely ran after 9 PM. The question is did I just get lucky or is this a real hack that more people should use? Has anyone else tried this and seen actual savings on their bill?
I drive from Etobicoke to downtown every day for work and last week it took me 90 minutes to go from Kipling to Strachan. I know they have to fix the road but is there any better route that avoids the gridlock? I tried Lakeshore but that was even worse. Anyone else stuck in this mess and found a path that works?
I noticed some missing shingles after the windstorm yesterday. I found The Roof Technician on Google and they say they do emergency roof repairs. Has anyone tried them? Need to know if they are reliable before I commit.
