My agent told me to stage my office as a bedroom, best call ever
When I listed my 2BR condo in Bellevue last spring, I had it set up as a home office since I work remote. My agent walked in, looked at my desk setup, and said "nobody buying a 2 bed wants a 1 bed with a computer room, move your mattress in here tomorrow." I thought it was silly, but I rented a cheap storage unit for $75 a month and dragged my bed in there. Within 4 days I had 3 showings booked instead of the 1 I got in the first week. The buyer told me later she specifically wanted that second bedroom for her kids, my setup made her skip my place otherwise. Has anyone else had a listing where the "obvious" use of a room ended up hurting the sale?
